My Birthday Celebration Experience is thoughtfully designed to tell the story of this special milestone through a beautiful combination of timeless portraits and joyful birthday memories.
Your experience can begin with simple, timeless portraits of your little one and family on a neutral backdrop — creating beautiful images focused on connection that you’ll treasure long after the birthday decorations are gone.
We’ll then transition into your child’s styled birthday setup, thoughtfully created with colors and decorative details inspired by your chosen theme. Whether you envision something sweet and simple or a more personalized celebration, we’ll work together to create a setup that feels special and beautifully photographs your little one.
While cake smash sessions are especially popular for first birthdays, the Birthday Celebration Experience is available for children of all ages. Whether your little one is turning one, two, or beyond, every birthday deserves to be beautifully remembered.
For your comfort and convenience, the entire experience takes place in your home. I bring the professional backdrops, studio lighting, photography equipment, and decorations needed for the setups included in your selected collection. An open, clear area of approximately 8×8 to 8×10 feet is recommended to comfortably create your in-home studio experience.

Cake is not included due to allergies and food sensitivities.
The styled setups are specially designed and sized for babies and small children. For this reason, they are not able to accommodate full family photos.

Q: Where do the birthday photo sessions take place?
A: All birthday photo sessions take place at the client’s home for comfort and convenience. I bring my full setup, including a professional backdrop with stands, studio lighting, and all decorations needed for the session. I will need a clear open space of approximately 8x8 to 8x10 feet (floor and wall space) to comfortably set everything up.
Q: What is the birthday photo session?
A: Birthday photo sessions are a fun and memorable way to celebrate your child’s milestones. The session can include a Cake Smash or be styled without one, depending on your preferences.
Q: Can grandparents or other family members be included in the session?
A: Yes! Portraits with your little one and parent(s) are already included in your Birthday Celebration Experience. If you’d like to include grandparents or other extended family members, they may be added for $20 per person. Please let me know in advance so I can plan the session time and setup accordingly.
Q: Is the cake included?
A: The cake is not included due to food hygiene, intolerance, and allergy considerations.
Q: When should I schedule the birthday photos?
A: Most clients book their session around 2 months before the child’s birthday to ensure availability and planning time for props and styling.
Q: Is there a specific type of cake recommended for the Cake Smash?
A: A small cake, about 6 inches, works best. Any cake from your local bakery, including Publix, is fine. Softer cakes are easier for your child to dig into and create fun, messy photos. Cakes can be decorated with themes or characters your child loves. If using colored frosting, check with the baker to ensure the dye won’t stain your baby’s skin.
Q: Can we use something other than cake?
A: Absolutely! You can use fruits, cupcakes, donuts, or any other treat your child enjoys. Anything that’s safe to eat and play with can create adorable, messy photos.
Q: Are outfits included in the Cake Smash session?
A: Outfits are not included, as children vary in size. This ensures you can provide clothing that fits perfectly and suits your child’s style.
Q: What is the delivery time for digital files?
A: Your edited images will be ready within 2 weeks of your session.
Q: What if my child doesn’t eat the cake?
A: Some children dive right in, while others may be hesitant or even upset. You can bring small snacks like puffs or Cheerios to place on the cake to encourage participation.
Tip: Schedule the session after your baby’s nap, or at a time of day when they’re naturally happy and active—if they still take a nap, this helps ensure the best results.

A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.
