Celebrate your little one’s milestone with our Cake Smash session! This session is designed to capture the sweet, adventurous, and curious spirit of your almost one-year-old as they dive into their first birthday cake.


It’s the perfect way to commemorate this special occasion and create lasting memories!

What is included:


  • Session Consultation

We’ll chat about your vision and preferences to design the perfect session tailored to your family’s style. From color palettes and themes to props, we’ll go over every detail to bring your dream setup to life.


  • Digital Gallery Access

You’ll receive full access to your session’s digital gallery, featuring lightly edited images with basic color and light adjustments—ready for you to view and select your favorites. These photos will also be available for download.


  • Enhanced Selections

Once you’ve selected your favorites, they’ll be carefully hand-retouched to perfection. These final images will be delivered in both color and black & white, creating timeless keepsakes you’ll treasure for years.


  • Turnaround Time

Your beautifully edited images will be ready within 2 weeks, so you won’t have to wait long to enjoy your memories.

Your session will take place at my cozy home studio in Clermont, FL (ZIP 34714)—a warm, welcoming space designed to make your little one feel right at home.

Smash the Cake setups are designed for babies around 1 year old.

Unfortunately, full families cannot be accommodated within these scenarios.



FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


Q: WHAT IS THE CAKE SMASH SESSION?

A: Cake Smash sessions are the ultimate way to celebrate that huge milestone of their First Birthday. Usually at the cake smash session, is when baby will try cake for the first time. It's fun and messy.


Q: CAN GRANDPARENTS, FRIENDS, OR AUNTS COME TO THE SESSION?

A: At this age, babies can only tolerate short periods of being photographed, and we want to keep the Smash the Cake experience fun and stress-free. For this reason, these sessions are reserved just for your little one, and additional guests cannot be accommodated. If you’d like to include grandparents or loved ones, I recommend booking a separate family session on another day.


Q: IS THE CAKE INCLUDED?

A: The Cake is not included due to food hygiene-intolerance and allergy reasons.


Q: WHEN SHOUD I DO THE CAKE SMASH PHOTOS?

A: Cake Smash portraits are taken on or around your little one’s 1st birthday. Most of our clients book the session around 11 months old but it can be done when baby is one or after baby's birthday.


Q: IS THERE A SPECIFIC TYPE OF CAKE USED FOR THE CAKE SMASH?

A: They’re generally best if kept small, about six inches. Any cake from Publix or your local bakery works well and if you can ask for the cake to be softer it's easy to break apart and eat. Your smash cake can of course be decorated with any themes or characters your child likes, but we suggest your baby's cake be decorated with bright fun colors. If you opt for a colored finish on the cake, it is important to check with the baker so that dye is not used that leaves stains on the baby's skin. You don't want your baby's skin to get all blotchy for the bubble bath session.


Q: CAN WE USE SOMETHING OTHER THAN CAKE?

A: You aren’t limited to just cake! Some other options include fruits, cupcakes, donuts, really anything your baby would like to eat and play with to create cute and messy photos!


Q: ARE THE OUTFITS INCLUDED IN THE CAKE SMASH PHOTO SHOOT?

A: Outfits are not included. At that age there is always a variation for the size of the baby and so, in order not to run the risk of not having an outfit in the right size for your baby.


Q: WHAT IS THE DELIVERY TIME FOR DIGITAL FILES?

A: Turnaround time is 2 weeks.


Q: WHAT IF MY CHILD DOESN’T EAT THE CAKE?

A: This may happen. Some children love the cake smash and dig right in! Others are more hesitant and even get upset. Feel free to have puffs, cheerios, or any other small snack that your child likes that we can place on the cake to entice him/her to participate.


TIP: It's best to schedule the session after your baby's nap time or the time of the day when your baby is active and happy.

Notes:

Family photos are reserved for immediate family only (parents and siblings). Unfortunately, extended family members cannot be accommodated at this time.


Additional Artwork: Albums, wall art, and prints are available for purchase separately.


A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.
