I sometimes see posts online saying things like “Looking for a photographer that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.” Honestly, that stings — because behind every session I do, there’s so much more than just taking pictures.

When you see my prices, it’s easy to think it’s “just a couple of hours of work.” But there’s so much that goes into making your session possible:
- Studio rent and maintenance
- Professional equipment (and backups — because babies don’t wait!)
- Props, blankets, wraps, and outfits
- Editing software, websites, storage, and design tools
- Business expenses — insurance, phone and internet bills, utilities, and yes… TAXES
I also spend a lot of time studying and training — newborn safety, lighting, posing, editing techniques, and more — so I can give your family the best possible experience and images.

Unlike many jobs, I don’t have paid sick days, paid vacations, or health insurance. Most of what I do, I do because I truly love it — but the reality is, running a photography business is not easy.

There’s also all the invisible work before and after your session:
- Cleaning and preparing props, outfits, and the studio
- Setting up backdrops and scenes
- Hours of editing, creating galleries, and backing up files
- Planning, communicating, and making sure every detail is perfect for your family
Booking a session with me isn’t just about taking photos — it’s about capturing moments with care, love, and attention to every detail. I pour my heart into every session, and I hope you can feel the dedication behind each image.

I approach every session with heart because I know how precious these moments are. When you see a photographer’s price, remember it reflects the time, care, and attention to detail that goes on behind the scenes.
I do this work because I love it, and nothing brings me more joy than seeing families treasure their memories. Every session is thoughtfully crafted with care, skill, and love — and if you value these moments as much as I do, it would be an honor to capture them for your family.
