NEWBORN FAQ
WHEN SHOULD I HIRE A NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION?
Feel free to contact me if you already have a baby and I will be happy to accommodate your session on my calendar if possible, but I recommend to save the date 2 months before your due date to ensure availability since I only book a limited number of sessions per month.
When you book your newborn session, a reservation fee is paid and a tentative date of 10 days after your due date is added to my calendar.
Once your baby is born, you will let me know as soon as possible so then I can change it my schedule if necessary.
ARE YOU VACCINATED?
Absolutely! Up to date with my yearly flu shots and fully vaccinated against COVID.
WHEN WILL THE SESSION TAKE PLACE?
The traditional posed newborns are best photographed in the first 4 weeks (the earlier days are preferred - between 5 - 15 days) when they sleep better, love curling into the adorable poses, don’t have much colic, and usually haven’t started developing baby acne or cradle cap.
DO I NEED TO PROVIDE ANY OUTFIT OR ACESSORY FOR NEWBORN PHOTO SESSION?
For the “Traditional” Collections, you don’t need to worry about anything. I will provide the scenario, props and all the production needed for the photos.
For the “Lifestyle Newborn Photo Session", I will not bring props or outfits.
CAN I REQUEST A SPECIFIC SET OR ACESSORY FOR MY BABY PHOTO SESSION?
In case you have some piece of clothes with sentimental value, we can include to the session, (limit of 3 pieces).
If you would like to have a similar photo from my portfolio, please let me know about it before your session day.
Scenarios, objects, accessories from photos taken with other professionals can be used as reference provided that I have something similar in my collection.
CAN I CHOOSE THE POSES FOR THE SESSION?
Before starting the session, I will check the baby's flexibility which is a unique characteristic of every baby, so I cannot guarantee specific poses as it depends on the baby and not on me. I will respect the baby's limit and preferences for each pose, making him/her feel comfortable all the time.
CAN I CHOOSE COLORS AND THE PROPS FOR THE SESSION?
Yes absolutely! Depending on the package chosen, you will be able to choose the color of the backdrop for the photos on the posing table and you will also be able to choose your favorite props. You can check the props and backdrops by clicking on the link below
FOR THE LIFESTYLE SESSION, CAN I HAVE THE OPTION TO CHANGE DIFFERENT CLOTHING-ACCESSORIES FOR MY BABY DURING THE SESSION?
Yes, I recommend up to 2 changes of clothes. You know, babies hate changing clothes and we don't want an angry baby during the session.
WHAT IF MY BABY CRIES AND WE CANNOT TAKE THE PHOTOS?
Babies are unpredictable, especially in this adaptation phase out of the belly, so we also consider the possibility of a bad day for the baby, then we wouldn't be able to make it, so we could reschedule according to availability.
ARE THE IMAGES EDITED?
Professional post-processing and artistic editing is included in every image that will compose your package.
DO I RECEIVE ALL THE PHOTOS INCLUDING UNEDITED IMAGES?
According to your hired package, only the selected pictures from the online private gallery will be delivered in high resolution digital file, hand edited, in color and black & white for download. Unedited photos will not be delivered.
The Lifestyle Photo Session includes all images taken that will be delivered as a high resolution digital file, in color and black and white for download.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR YOU TO DELIVER THE DIGITAL IMAGES AND PRINTS?
The deadline for the first presentation for photo choosing is 5 (five) business days (online gallery of unedited photos). The deadline for the delivery of the artistically edited digital file selected is 15 (fifteen) business days after the selection.
CAN I BUY MORE PHOTOS THAN CONTRACTED?
Yes. Digital image price is $25 each only after purchase of collection.
